Thank you for all these years.

When i was 7, i remembered going into your home, and stayed there for a week.
I played around with the soil, sand, and the people there.
I remembered that i went catching with your Son and Daughter during one of the days.
We spent hours, and hours, playing with one another, and soon, more villagers come in and joined the fun.
It was an open society, and the people were selfless back then.
There was one time, i tried to fool around with a stray cat, and my arms got scratched by it.
There was a burning sensation. On the wound.
So, you rushed out, and grabbed some alcohol, along with some cotton wool to disinfect the open wound.
I was reluctant to offer my hand to you, but i agreed later on.
Then, you brought me to the padi fields.
The green, uniform scenery stretched as far as my eyes can see.
Then you brought me to the nearest beach.
The villagers there welcomed me with the warmth, in which, i can never forget.
One of the elder villager offered a conch, about the size of a mug.
It was beautiful. It was nature at its best.

As weeks, months and years gone by, you still remember me.
On late December, 2003, you waited at the airport to send me and my family to Singapore.
That was the last time i saw you...

Now, back here, hundreds of miles away, i shall pay my respects to my beloved godmother,
who just have joined Lord Above, into eternal slumber.
I'm terribly sorry, that i cannot be there, on this, fateful day.
I'm terribly sorry, that i was unable to bid the last farewell,
before your eternal slumber.
I'm sorry, that i won't be there for you, this time round...

Once again, i would like to thank you for everything.
FOr everything that you've done.
For being a part of my life.
God bless you, my dearest Godma.
Rest In Peace...
